Perhaps the most common misconception about Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is that it is a "Black Art", requiring intimate knowledge of search engine algorithyms and an engineering degree, not to mention months or even years for it to work. Another common but opposite misconception is that once you've built your website, you'll automatically start attracting visitors. Or that once your site has been indexed by the various search engines, you'll get a high ranking in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for any and every keyword you like. [...read more...]

How To Identify Profitable Niche Markets
Do They Have Money To Spend?
One of the biggest mistakes that many marketers make is they go into a market because they like the look of it or think that it is going to be successful without any real prior thought given to how they are going to monetize the site. It is vital to have a plan of action going in rather than just making it up as you go along and hoping that it will all turn out fine in the end. A little bit of planning done before hand can be the difference between creating a great little extra stream of income or wasting a lot of time and effort for very little return.
A good way to see if the niche has money to spend is to see what competitors are currently in your market and in what ways they have gone about monetizing their sites. Let's face it - you are an Internet marketer and this is not just a fun "hobby" or something you do to pass the time of day but in fact is the way that you put food on the table for your family and pay your mortgage so you want to make sure that there are viable ways to monetize the traffic.
It is possible that some of your competitors are selling eBooks or mp3 programmes and if this is the case then that should represent a good indication that there is money being spent in this market and that it might be worth your time and effort to get involved. Also if some sites are displaying Adsense then it also a good sign, however, it may also be a good idea to use some software like Keyword Elite to see if the clicks are worthwhile going after or if they are just too low a value to be worth the effort.
Are You Interested In The Market?
It is often a very good idea to be interested in the market that you go into if you are going to be creating content and products for it. Time invested in something you enjoy and that makes you money is time well spent. However, it is not essential because you can outsource the content creation or just get on with it even if you don't find the market that enthralling. In clonculsion, we have discussed a number of ways to identify profitable niche markets.

If you truly want to leverage yourself on the Internet, you need to do joint ventures. Joint ventures put you directly in front of a bunch of people who have shown to be interested in what you have to offer. And as an added bonus, you get enhanced credibility because you're endorsed by somebody else. In this article I will show you the proper way to go about setting up joint ventures.
Most people don't try to do joint ventures because they believe they have to do one with a big name in order for it to be profitable. This isn't so. Many profitable joint ventures can be created by marketers with lists as low as 1000 people. The beauty of it is if you set up 20 of these joint ventures, you'll have got your message across to 20,000 people. Since it is very easy to have somebody send an endorsement to their list about your product, 20,000 extra visitors is well worth your time.
So how do you set these joint ventures up? Well it's not as easy as trying to convince them it's in their best interest to do so. This may work some of the time, but a better approach is to create relationships with them first before you propose a joint venture.
First, decide who you want to do joint ventures with now and who you would like to do joint ventures with in the future. Now make contact with these people, but do so in a way to offer them value. Let them know who you are and what you can offer them that will benefit them, without asking for anything in return. By getting your foot in the door, and proving yourself yourself, they will be open to do business with you. Most people don't want to do business with a stranger, so it's wise to start cultivating relationships before doing business.
Now, either by establishing a relationship you can ask them directly or you will find they will be asking you about how they can partner with you. This is ideal -- you simply propose a joint venture and watch them accept it instantly.
In conclusion, to really maximize the effectiveness of joint ventures you need to build relationships with other people. It is well worth your time, because you will be able to leverage all of their resources and customer base and use it to make more sales for your products and services.

If you’ve been involved in Internet Marketing for any length of time, you either have, or have considered a Merchant Account to allow you to sell products and take credit cards. If you are just starting out, this can be an important asset. However, Merchant Accounts can be difficult and costly to get.
2Checkout, or 2co, is a merchant payment processor. Similar in some ways to Clickbank, 2co handles customer payment for your product(s), and then pays you. Unlike Clickbank, however, you can market both digital AND physical products, PLUS, 2co pays you right away, and directly into your bank account! [Read more →]

SpeedPPC pay per click marketing software is a boon to affiliate marketers. Recently, the folks at Analogy Marketing interviewed Jay Stockwell, the developer of SpeedPPC.When asked how he came up with the idea for SpeedPPC, he said ..."sounds like marketing talk, but that’s really how it happened. We’re not a huge outfit here (although growing), so we’realways asking ourselves, “is this activity hitting the bottom line?”. We used to be able to be a bit faster and looser with respect to making PPC work. But with the Quality Score noose getting tighter and tighter we decided to stop trying to beat Google, and just give them what they wanted."Improve Your Internet Marketing has a discount of $100 off the price of SPPC.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Article Marketing
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, works not only for Websites, but for article marketing as well.
Boosting the effectiveness of Bum Marketing means boosting the returns on your articles - namely, how much traffic they bring - you must think of them as miniature Web sites. When you use article marketing, these articles will behave just like, and usually better than your Web sites.
Ideally, your articles reach the first page in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages), as well as have many backlinks pointing to them, so that someone searching on a topic you submitted an article for will find your article.
Of course you should always strive for quality. Whether you are writing them yourself from scratch, modifying PLR articles, or out-sourcing them entirely, an informative, engaging article is better than one that isn’t.
